Through a combination of short videos, exercises, and personalized, clinically-directed coaching, the course will present a synopsis of the best clinically tested, evidence-based behavior change research, distilled via easy-to-use, practical diagnostic tools. By the end of the course, students will know how to incorporate and, more importantly, sustain important new habits in their day-to-day lives and the lives of their clients.

This course is a pre-requisite for those interested in becoming certified Habit Design® Trainer-Affiliates and is qualified for CE credit (e.g., CHES, MCHES, ACSM, et al.). Feel free to contact us for more details.

LOGISTICS OF THE COURSE:

  • START WHEN YOU WANT: There's no pre-determined start date, just choose any day you want to begin within 30 days of your registration.


  • SELF-PACED SESSIONS: You'll progress through 6 tutorials, each including a short video and brief online survey, emailed to you incrementally based on your pace. Each session builds on the previous session, so you'll want to complete each session's survey before progressing to the next one. How long it takes to complete each tutorial is up to you, but it each one takes just 30-60 minutes. Once successfully completing each tutorial survey, you'll receive feedback from our clinical team (see below), then proceed to the next tutorial. On average, past trainees have completed the entire course in 4-6 weeks.


  • PERSONALIZED FEEDBACK BY LICENSED AND CERTIFIED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS (EQUIVALENT TO 12 CLINICAL HOURS): After receiving your survey response to each tutorial, our clinical team will provide personalized feedback via email within 2-3 business days. You may be asked to revise your survey response afterwards before progressing to the next session. This is equivalent to roughly 12 clinical hours or a $1,800 value just on its own.


  • LIVE, PERSONALIZED GROUP COACHING: Each Wednesday at Noon Pacific join a live Q&A interactive Web conference, moderated by Michael Kim, Founder & CEO of Habit Design, and the Habit Design clinical research team. Share any issues, challenges, or questions in person with leading clinical experts in the field of habit formation. International participants may request to reschedule their group coaching sessions to a more mutually convenient time (contact us below for more info).


  • LIVE, ONE-ON-ONE TELE-COACHING: After completing the video tutorials & surveys, you'll receive 2 weeks (10 weekdays) of personalized tele-coaching support via SMS/Text with a licensed, and certified clinical psychologist (available 9 AM - 5 PM Pacific for domestic U.S. participants only). "Why can't I just pick this up in a book or one of the many free self-improvement guru websites?"

Unfortunately, there's a tremendous amount of incorrect, simplistic, and outright misleading claims in pop psychology, especially related to "habits". Most of these sources are not licensed, certified, and published clinicians. 62% of our trainees come to us having had disappointing experiences from these kinds of pop psychology sources. You get what you pay for.

Our Habit Design® techniques are not available from any books, websites, videos, or self-improvement gurus, but have been carefully clinically validated over ten years, published in peer-reviewed journals, and previously made available only to our corporate clients.


"Why haven't I heard of you before?"

Well, we only just coined the term and discipline of "Habit Design" a few years ago, but it's quickly become a mainstream meme within the behavior change community; just Google the keyword "Habit Design" and see.

This course is a prerequisite for our subsequent Habit Design® Trainer-Affiliate Certification program. It does not provide authorization for enrolled participants to redistribute or conduct Habit Design® training. For more information about our certified trainer course, contact us below.



Note: Should any registrant cause unwelcome or unnecessary disruption in the course to other participants or training staff, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to expel any such registrant at any time, after a careful review of their disruptive conduct. Upon expulsion, the registrant will receive a notice via email and, at our sole discretion, may receive a partial refund. In other words: Be professional and you'll be OK, but we have had to expel people in the past for unprofessional behavior.
