We, The Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition, are an all-volunteer 501c3, who has fed the hungry and the homeless in the Hollywood and West Hollywood area since 1987. Currently, we receive food donations from donors such as, Chipotle, Sprinkles, local restaurants, and the surrounding studios; these donations allow us to repurpose food that would otherwise be discarded, and provide a hot nutritious meal 365 nights a year.

We work to help our clients in many different ways, large and small. In 2000, we partnered with the UCLA Schools of Public Health and Medicine, and the UCLA Undergraduate College. Our partnership began the mobile medical clinic services. The mission of the UCLA Mobile Clinic is to improve the health outcomes and quality of life for homeless and low-income individuals. The clinic provides direct medical and health care services, health promotion and disease prevention activities, social support and case management services, and referral to medical and social resources in the community.

Through consistency of serving an average of 175 people a night, and providing medical services each week, we have gained trust from our clients on a personal level, learning of their needs, and current situations. This relationship has allowed us to tailor our services, successfully assisting in job placement, and helping a number of clients move off the street and into permanent supportive housing.
