Event description
The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep’s Center for the Creation and Development of New Work invites local artists to a Happy Hour and Q&A

About this Event

The Ground Floor invites local artists to a Happy Hour followed by a Q&A to share information about the new play development process at Berkeley Rep. We’ll start with a happy hour before diving into the Q&A. You are welcome to come to the Happy Hour, Q&A, or both!

After the happy hour, Madeleine Oldham, director of The Ground Floor and resident dramaturg, will give a short overview of The Ground Floor and discuss the application process for the Summer Residency Lab. She will cover the selection process, factors that go into decision-making, and what makes an application compelling. Then we’ll field questions from the group. The Ground Floor invites aspiring and experienced theatre makers to join us for an evening of lively conversation.

The 2020 Summer Residency Lab application is currently open and closes November 18.

The Happy Hour + Q&A will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. The Happy Hour runs from 7-8pm, with the Q&A beginning at 8:00 PM at Berkeley Rep’s bar, Michael's Second Act, at 2025 Addison Street. The event is free, but space is limited. Please register in advance.
