The next Greenhouse Studio is coming up soon! Our special guest is actor Michael Rooker, who has starred in all sorts of film and television projects, including Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead! You don't want to miss it, so register now!

Michael Rooker made his film debut in 1986, playing the title role in HENRY: PORTRAIT of a SERIAL KILLER, a film based on the confessions of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas. It was here that audiences were first introduced to Rooker’s impeccable ability to channel a character’s idiosyncrasies and subtleties. He has also starred in some of the most iconic films, such as MISSISSIPPI BURNING, SEA OF LOVE, JFK, TOMBSTONE, and JUMPER to name a few. In August 2014, Rooker starred in one of the most memorable franchises in the Marvel Universe, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, as Yondu, the blue-skinned renegade space pirate and surrogate father to Peter Quill. The film went on to gross over $700 million at the worldwide box office and spent five weekends atop the box office, more than any other film in the Marvel Universe. Up next, Rooker will be reteaming with HENRY: PORTRAIT of a SERIAL KILLER director, John McNaughton on a film adaptation of Flannery O’Connor’s A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND. On the television front, Rooker is best known for his series regular role as Merle Dixon on AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead. Rooker has completed a variety of stints on some of the most prominent shows on television: Criminal Minds, CSI: Miami, Las Vegas, Law and Order, and Archer, among others. Additionally, Rooker’s talents go beyond both film and television. He adds his voice to various video games, including The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and Lollipop Chainsaw.

The Greenhouse Studio is open and free of charge to any and all creative professionals, although your registration is required, and a donation is suggested and very much appreciated. Donations can be made at the door or here at our Eventbrite registration page.

IMPORTANT: Because this event is on the studio lot, you must register before 5 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017, so that we can get you on the CBS Studios security list. Each guest should register separately and with his/her own full name. Because we are anticipating a full house for this event, preference will be given to people who have either attended a Greenhouse event before or who are actively in the creative industries. To attend, please register with your full name here at Eventbrite!

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are some good folks at the CBS Security Gate who will check to make sure you're on their security list, so bring a government-issued photo ID with you to show 'em. A driver's license or passport will work; your headshot won't. There's no age limit – you can be as old as you want. Heck, you can even lie about your age if you want, although we don't really see the point. Young'uns can come, but we will be filming this event, so if they get squirrelly, we respectfully ask that you take them outside. Same goes for your spouse – we know they can get a little squirrelly too.

What are my parking options getting to the event?

The folks at the security gate will direct you to where you should park, but since it is the weekend, typically you can park anywhere that doesn't say it is reserved "24/7". Please obey all rules for handicapped parking, such as: "Don't do it if you're not." And it ain't a bad idea to arrive a few minutes early in case you have to walk from your parking spot to the event building. Please do NOT park in the neighborhoods surrounding the CBS Studio lot – due to circumstances beyond our control, that infraction may get you towed.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You can get any questions answered at info@greenhouseproductions.com. Remember: as the event gets closer, we all get busier with event details, so it takes a little longer to respond to emails. We give ourselves an "E" for effort though. That's the beauty of being able to grade yourself.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Nah, let's save some trees. With a name like "The Greenhouse," we should probably be concerned about things like that. Of course, if you do bring the printed ticket, there are plenty of uses for it. Go up to our host Shun Lee and ask for his autograph. He'll look puzzled, but we're pretty sure he'll do it. We understand it is worth something on eBay.
