The Greenest Generation: The Future of NYC’s Transit and Infrastructure
Featuring Representatives Jerry Nadler and Adriano Espaillat.
Moderated by Shumita Basu of WNYC and We The Commuters fame.
Ticket includes 2 hour open bar and appetizers.
Looking ahead to a new decade of growth, transportation, and climate challenges, “The Greenest Generation” will be a conversation about the future of transit, transportation, and infrastructure in the New York City region. We’ll focus on why federal policy, new proposals like the Green New Deal, and emerging technologies must be used to reshape the way our region thinks about mobility, from daily commutes to long-distance air and rail travel and logistics and goods movement.
The panel topics will include transportation needs in low-income communities; how federal policy and budgeting influence our ability to invest in our regional transportation network; and how new leadership, fresh ideas, and a renewed focus on infrastructure could reshape our literal landscape to be more transit-friendly, help move working families into the middle class, and meet our ambitious climate goals.
