The course provides students with a wealth of hands-on lab exercises using Visual Studio 2015 to reinforce the concepts and techniques discussed during lectures. Students may choose to work through lab exercises using either SharePoint Server 2016 or SharePoint Server 2013. Students will also learn the low level details of how security and authentication work when developing and deploying provider-hosted add-ins within a private local area network. Along the way, students will learn how to use important Microsoft frameworks such as the Entity Framework for creating custom databases and Web API 2 for creating custom web services.
The last two days of this class examine essential SharePoint Server service applications which provide additional development opportunities working with Business Connectivity Services, the Secure Store Service, the SharePoint Search service, the Managed Metadata Service and SharePoint Workflow.

Critical Path Training
Critical Path Training, founded by SharePoint MVPs Ted Pattison and Andrew Connell, is dedicated to educating Professional Developers, Designers, IT Professionals and Information Workers on how to become successful with Microsoft's SharePoint Products and Technologies. Our instructors include the biggest names in SharePoint education: Scot Hillier, Asif Rehmani, Maurice Prather, David Mann, and Matthew McDermott.
We pride ourselves in the fact that we conduct extensive research and author the SharePoint industry's most in-depth training. Our mission is to provide students with an objective viewpoint and key insights about the architecture as well as best practices and essential coding techniques. We also believe that training is about more than just telling people a set of technical facts. There is a fine art to writing a great technical training course. A course author must be able to create a story that teaches concepts and reinforces technical skill in a series of lectures and lab exercises that build a student's understanding layer by layer through the week
