On your mark. Get set. CRUNCH!

Tastebuds invites students across Hamilton to take a Great Big Crunch into crisp, locally grown apples, all at the same time! Apples are FREE,** generously donated by Drummond Farms.

Register by Friday March 1st, 2019, before midnight.

**Apples are free for schools and community centres that run Tastebuds nutrition programs. Other groups who wish to participate will be invoiced $18 per bag (~72 apples per bag). Please regsiter through this website.

Run the Great Big Crunch at your school, any time on Thursday, March 28, 2019:

  1. In the gym: Gather the whole school and have students count down together.
  2. In classrooms: Have a teacher or student count-down over the PA system.
  3. At a staff meeting: Start or end your meeting with a bit of fun. Consider inviting Tastebuds to give a quick presentation.
  4. Turn it into a fundraiser: Ask students and staff to bring a $0.25 to $2 donation for the nutrition program.
  5. Invite special guests: superintendents, trustees, community partners, etc.

Product info: Apples from Dummond Farms are non-waxed, small, firm and crunchy. In a bag, there will be a mix of varieties, such as Empire, Ambrosia, Golden Galas, Royal Gala, Spartan, Crimson Crisp, Golden Delicious. All grown in Waterdown.

Deliveries: After registration closes on March 1st, Drummond Farms will determine a delivery schedule to ensure everyone has their apples before Thurs, March 28th. If you're crunching on an alternate date, please let us know and we will accomodate you as best we can.
