The Note Ropers perform in the style of the "Grand Ole Opry" entertainers of the 1940’s –60’s. The Note Ropers are influenced by Hank Williams, Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Johnny Horton, Ernest Tubb, Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Elvis, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and many other artists.
TNR presents with a classic style Crooner/strummin’, backed by Dawghouse bassist, Hollowbody guitar picker, Standup Non Pedal Steel guitarist, and Stand up drummer. From the custom stage attire, instruments, comic relief, and delivery, TNR enjoys what they do and make sure that the audience is entertained. If you don’t have fun at a Note Ropers' show, then you had better check your pulse! TNR will have you tappin’ your feet and dancin' in no time! Hope to see y’all in a "Honky Tonk" soon!

More on Tyler Keys

Tyler Key grew up in rural GA. He went to college to be a pharmacist and ended up with a degree in English lit. He was going to write academic papers for a living but ended up playing music and working blue collar jobs. According to Jimmy Meadows, booking agent for Georgia Dish Boys, “Denis Johnson and John Prine have raised a son in Nowhereville, USA. That son is Tyler Key.”

Casting for Recovery (CfR) provides healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer, at no cost to the participants. CfR’s retreats offer opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life, and experience healing connections with other women and nature. The retreats are open to women with breast cancer of all ages, in all stages of treatment and recovery. For over 20 years, women from all walks of life have benefitted from CfR’s inspiring program model.

Why fly fishing and breast cancer?

Our healing program is unique! For women who have had surgery or radiation as part of their breast cancer treatment, the gentle motion of fly casting can be good physical therapy for increasing mobility in the arm and upper body. Couple that with the emotional benefits of connecting with nature, and you’ve got powerful medicine. Our retreats are unconventional and described by many women as life-changing.
