Event Details

The Gospel of Healing Volume I Black Churches Respond to HIV/AIDS' is feature-length documentary film by Paul V. Grant that profiles five models of faith-based HIV prevention, treament and care services in predominiately African American communites. The  film explores how these powerful ministries where established and what services they provide using innovative community partnerships. It also features powerful segments of commentary from leading advocates, educators, pastors and theologians discussing the critical need for Black churches to address stigma and, discrimination and the need for greater access to health care.

This highly acclaimed film premiered at the 2012 International AIDS Conference in Washington, DC and it has also been featured in the The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Ebony and BET.com
