Saturday, February 23rd, 2013
Doors open 9:00pm
21 & Over
The Dead Winter Carpenters are on a meteoric rise. With their infectious sound, this super group from North Lake Tahoe, CA. has been burning up stages all over the country.
Dead Winter Carpenters represents everything the American west stands for. With an unbridled spirit, and an authentic approach to the art of songwriting, the five-piece roots-rock band captures the freedom of the road with the kind of energy that is made of legends.
... and then there's Scott Law!
Consummate musician and songwriter, Scott Law embodies the ideal of the steel-string guitar master. This Portland, Oregon-based string-bender is widely known by audiences and fellow musicians alike for his original tunes, articulate phrasing, silvery tone and knack for raising the energy level and musicality of any collaboration. Besides his work as a bandleader, career highlights include being chosen by bassist Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead to play Jerry Garcia’s "Wolf" guitar at a Red Rocks Amphitheater benefit event, his longtime stage and songwriting partnerships with The String Cheese Incident and his association with legendary fiddler, Darol Anger.
When & Where
The Goodfoot Pub and Lounge is a two-level venue located in SE Portland.
Great food, local micro brews, cocktails, art gallery, live music, and DJ Dance Night every Friday. The Upstairs pub opens every night at 5pm. Happy Hour runs from 5 to 8pm 7 days a week (food & drink specials). There are 4 pool tables, a wall of pinball tables & rotating (monthly) art shows for the eyes to feast on.
The Downstairs Lounge is where the music venue resides. Musicians adore the sound and the energy the audience brings at The Goodfoot. Music lovers revel in the dive-y vibe, the intimacy & that feeling that you've stepped back in time to a period where secret speakeasys and basement parties can lead to a bevvy of grin-inducing memories that stand the test of time. The doors open most nights at 9pm for Live Music and/or DJ's.
ALL SHOWS at The Goodfoot are 21 & Over Only
Established in 2001
The Goodfoot Pub & Lounge opened in 2001. Winner of many awards, host to countless art shows, musicians, and customers, and is home to Soul Stew: Portland's longest running (and arguably most successful DJ Dance Night). The Goodfoot is a quirky & beloved spot for music & art lovers. Supporting local art, artists, musicians, & microbreweries is what we do. The magic comes from a collaboration between all of these groups.
