A Caregiver's Coming of Age

Kaypri, an award-winning actor and playwright, tells the personal story of her journey as an Alzheimer's caregiver to her now 85-year-old mother Dorothy, who was active behind the scenes in the civil rights battles of the mid-1950s. This heartwarming story is a companion to Kaypri's book, I Didn't Know What I Didn't Know: A Southern White Woman's Story About Race, and comes to the stage at the Zephyr Theatre in WeHo.

Kaypri has been featured in various publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Winston-Salem Chronicle, Upworthy, and The Daily Voice. She also produced and directed "The Baton", an AARP award winning PSA on Caregiving.

Cheryl Collins is the former director of theatre at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and recipient of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Cheryl is an award winning actress, playwright, professional storyteller, and voiceover artist.
