About this event
Often termed ‘compassionate use’, expanded or pre-approval access can be the only way for patients with serious conditions who do not qualify to participate in clinical trials to be able to access investigational medicine.
We strongly believe pre-market access to promising investigational medicine should be global, equitable, and fair. The financial, regulatory, cultural and infrastructural landscape for compassionate use, however, vary widely across the globe. Come join a unique discussion on the global landscape of access with international perspectives.
You will be hearing from:
- Paul Aliu, Pharm D, Head Global Governance Office, Chief Medical Office (CMO), Novartis
- Jess Rabourn, CFA, CEO of Widetrial and Executive Producer, Expanded Access Summit
- Khrystal Davis, JD, Founder, Texas Rare Alliance and Author, "Hunt for a Cure: An Unexpected Adventure to Save a Life."
The panel will be moderated by Spandan Chakrabarti, Co-Founder of People with Empathy and the recipient of Special Congressional Recognition for a decade of work in health partnerships and advocacy.
