Event description

Description

The Gig Economy is here to stay, at least until the rest of the robots arrive. But what does it mean for workers and organizations, where’d it come from and why, how are workers best ‘classified’ and managed, and what are the consequences of miss-management? Does the current legal system well-serve the interests of stakeholders and commerce? What changes might be forthcoming?

Whether you work in the Bay Area economy or you have the next Uber rolling around in your head, this session will inform important choices in your working life.

Tom Cushing, JD/MBA, has more than a decade of experience as a small business owner and executive recruiter, specializing in recruiting legal professionals; seven years as a Fortune 10 company manager and seven years as in-house legal counsel. He is a senior adjunct professor at the Ageno School of Business.
