Event description

Description

Planning under pressure can lead to unintended results – that’s why most people plan for life’s milestones. However, planning for the last chapter of life is a subject most of us would rather avoid.

Please join Hospice Austin and AGE of Central Texas on Feb. 19th from 11am to 12:30 for lunch and information on advance care planning. We will explore preferences for end of life care and discuss ways to ensure wishes are honored. The information and discussion will be specifically for older adults living with early stage memory loss or caregivers of older adults living with dementia of any stage.

The discussion includes how to:

  • identify preferences,

  • have the conversation with loved ones

  • select a Medical Power of Attorney

  • fill out advance directives.

Please RSVP by February by February 18, 2019.

Parking is available in the lot behind the AGE building, on the street, or at Hyde Park Baptist Church walking distance from AGE (3901 Speedway, Austin, TX 78751).

For questions, please contact K.C. Lawrence, LMSW, klawrence@ageofcentraltx.org or 512-451-4611 x236.
