"The Gathering" Delmarva’s Rising Choreographers Summit
Logos Community Development Corporation is sponsoring The Gathering". This is a unique showcase featuring original pieces both choreographed and performed by talented young choreographers coming from all over Delmarva. This is a valuable opportunity for individuals to create their own choreography, direct other dancers, and see the results of their work. The Showcase is scheduled to take place April 15, 2017. There will be 3 master classes taken place. Stretching and Conditioning, Ballet, & Jazz.
CONFIRMED MASTER CLASS INSTRUCTORS:
Troy University/Montgomery Ballet
Angelene Kendall started dancing at the early age of three. Born and raised in Hershey Pennsylvania, she trained enthusiastically in ballet and modern at the Harrisburg Dance Conservatory. At the age of twelve she continued her studies at Movement Laboratory under the wonderful guidance of Judy Henry. While dancing at Movement Laboratory, Angelene had the opportunity to travel to Italy to perform, then to Washington DC to perform at the United Nation. She is currently in her senior year at Troy University where she is working towards her B.F.A in Dance. In the past three years, she has been selected for the professional division at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, participated in three Alabama Dance Festivals, and recently attended the professional division of the Atlanta Dance Connection Summer Intensive. Angelene plans to finish her senior at Troy University then move to Dallas, Texas in hopes of being a part of Dance Black Dance Theatre. Angelene currently serves as a Instructor for the Montgomery Ballet located in Montgomery, Alabama.

There will be raffles throughout the day. There will be a prize presented for the best original piece of choreography entered into the showcase.
Registration- 8am – 9am
Stretch & Conditioning- 9am- 10am
Ballet- 10:15am- 11:30am
Jazz- 11:45am- 1:15pm
Lunch- 1:15pm- 2:15pm
Rehearsal – Each participant for the showcase will be given a time between 2:30pm and 4:00pm to practice their piece on stage.
Show Case- 5:00pm
