About this Event

Catalyzing Transformative Transit-Oriented Development

November 20th, 2019 | DCU Center, Worcester

Please join us in Worcester on November 20th for the Seventh Annual Gateway Cities Innovation Institute Summit & Awards: Catalyzing Transformative Transit-Oriented Development. This year’s theme will explore new opportunities to generate equitable growth by increasing mobility and stimulating reinvestment in Gateway Cities with transit-oriented development (TOD). As leaders on Beacon Hill debate improvements to commuter rail service and strategies to increase development around mixed-use transit hubs, this timely gathering will draw attention to TOD models with transformative potential. The summit will feature conversations on three interrelated themes: mobility, development, and growth.

We are excited to announce the keynote address for the morning program, Christopher Coes, Vice President of Land Use and Development at Smart Growth America. Christopher will share his experiences from across LOCUS and Smart Growth America on how to encourage economic growth while ensuring accessibility and social equity.
