The Garden Gala

The Garden Gala is being held at Wunder Garten for Giving Tuesday, November 29th. A night full of music, food, silent auction, and the Giving Tree Christmas Tree lot to all help raise money for the h3 project. The h3 project is a wonderful organization that combats homelessness in the NoMa neighborhood.

The Giving Tree is a community-based holiday campaign to help persons experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC. The campaign, now in its 7th year, was launched in 2018 by Wunder Garten, the German-inspired outdoor beer garden in NoMa, and the local landscaping company, Sherman Gardens, which donates $10 from each Christmas tree sold on their holiday lot to a local non-profit homeless outreach provider.

The Giving Tree Project tree lot (located at Wunder Garten at 1101 First Street NE in NoMa) opens this year at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 26th, and runs through December 24th, or while supplies last, with $10 from each tree sold being donated to the Giving Tree Project DC.

2021 was The Giving Tree Project’s most successful year yet, raising more than $46,000 which was donated to the h3 Project, a DC-based non-profit which provides support and connects people experiencing homelessness to services.

In 2022, a new partner, SEOULSPICE, has joined The Giving Tree Project. During the months of November and December 2022, SEOULSPICE will donate $5 from each “Heart & Seoul” specialty bowl sold at its six (6) locations throughout the DMV to The Giving Tree Project.

In addition, Wunder Garten will host a silent auction and Giving Tuesday party on November 29th.
