Join Simulmedia in their offices at 670 Broadway for a conversation on the future of tech start-ups. Dave Morgan (serial entrepreneur and Founder of Simulmedia) will host John Battelle (journalist, entrepreneur, and Co-Founder of Open Co.) and Fred Wilson (New York City-based Venture Capitalist and Co-Founder of Union Square Ventures). Drinks and food will follow the conversation.
John Battelle is an entrepreneur, author and journalist. Best known for his work creating media properties, Battelle helped launch Wired in the 1990s and launched The Industry Standard during the dot-com boom. In 2005, he founded the online advertising network Federated Media Publishing, which now ranks as one of the top properties on the Web. In 2012 he co-founded Open Co. with Brian Monahan.
Fred Wilson is a New York City-based venture capitalist and blogger. Wilson is the co-founder of Union Square Ventures, a New York City-based venture capital firm with investments in Web 2.0 companies such as Twitter, Tumblr, Foursquare, Zynga and 10gen.
Dave Morgan is the CEO and founder of Simulmedia. Simulmedia is an Ad Tech company focused on TV. It operates an audience-driven ad network and a proprietary technology platform. Dave previously founded and ran both TACODA, Inc., an online advertising company that pioneered behavioral online marketing and was acquired by AOL, and Real Media, Inc., one of the world’s first ad serving and online ad network companies and a predecessor to 24/7 Real Media, which was later sold to WPP.
