Rich with resources such as Georgia Tech, Emory University, and numerous Fortune 500 company headquarters, Atlanta has attracted huge numbers of entrepreneurs looking to launch new companies and put their ideas on the map.”


Within the last ten years, the changes to Atlanta’s tech scene have been astronomical. Startups like Mailchimp, Storyful, SalesLoft, and Calendly call Atlanta home and bring innovation to our city.


This panel will be discussing these changes answering questions like; Who are the key players? How is getting a tech job different? What opportunities are available?

Panelist:

Muriel Vega is the associate editor of Hypepotamus, the leading startup- and technology-focused news publication and community resource in the Southeast. She spends her days telling the stories of emerging startup founders and tech leaders in the Southeast and sharing their successes and failures with Hype's readers. Aubrey Rhodes is the director of engineering at Brightwell Payments Inc. Brightwell is a payments company offering comprehensive prepaid solutions for corporations and consumers. Aubrey graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S in computer science and worked with Mailchimp and Big Nerd Ranch. Gaining insight and experience with 13 years of being in the Atlanta tech scene and watching it grow.
