About the conference

The voluntary sector has a track record of delivering cutting-edge perinatal services that are responsive to local need, creative and flexible - and which pioneer innovative approaches and break new ground. This conference will showcase a variety of perinatal projects from across the country, focusing in particular on how peer support models can be adapted to meet complex needs.

As well as hearing from leading researchers in the field, delegates will have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops and listen to key speakers highlighting the valuable contribution being made by the voluntary sector in the area of perinatal health.

Workshops

The following four workshops will be offered twice during the conference (before and after lunch):

  1. Working with multi-faith communities in the context of perinatal mental health
  2. Therapeutic services for parent-infant relationship in the context of perinatal mental health
  3. Working with domestic abuse in rural communities in the context of perinatal mental health
  4. Working with fathers as supportive partners and dads with their own perinatal mental health distress
