According to eMarketer, 73% of U.S publishers offer some form of native advertising, a market that is projected to hit $4.57 billion by 2017. In lieu of banners, marketers are turning to integrated advertising programs that blur the line between editorial and sponsorship, allowing brands to engage consumers through interesting, valuable content. Studies show that consumers are 25% more likely to view and 13% more likely to share native ads than banners. More importantly, consumers show 18% more purchase intent after viewing them. But this new form of advertising isn’t without its challenges. Publishers are searching for ways to scale native advertising without losing its effectiveness and advertisers are challenged with creating relevant, interesting and impactful content.
