About this event
Supporting the health of women and children during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period remains a top priority for policymakers and health care stakeholders across New Mexico. This panel will discuss the current state of maternal child health in New Mexico, the impact of COVID-19 on health care services for mothers and babies, efforts to reach the uninsured and underinsured who are pregnant or recently pregnant, and solutions to improve the number of healthy babies and healthy births.
Please join us on July 20 for a free virtual panel discussion on the future of maternal and child health care in New Mexico. The event will be hosted by Carolyn Ingram, plan president of Molina Healthcare of New Mexico and moderated by Megan Kamerick, news director for KUNM. Joining Megan is an expert panel, including Monica Esparza, executive director of the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force; Marissa Visscher, program manager for Many Mothers; and Nicolle Gonzales, founder and midwifery director of Changing Woman Initiative.
