The Future of Fashion #3:

Technology Meets the Sustainable Fashion

Join Be Social Change for the third and final installment in our series The Future of Fashion at the Wix Lounge, where we'll take a look at ways new technology is impacting production and manufacturing of the items we wear.

We’ll be looking at alternatives to high fashion materials and how they are helping to reduce the fashions industries carbon footprint. We’ll hear how new technology is helping to keep existing products competitive in a changing market.  How bringing new materials into third world countries is changing the lives of young women. Lastly, we’ll look at how wearable tech will be impacting our everyday lives.

Our panel of experts will discuss topics concerning how the fast paced tech world is bridging the gap between fashion and a more sustainable future.

During the event we will be hosting a pop-up shop with our partner stopTHINKshop. The pop-up shop will feature designers using technology in their fashion to build a more sustainable industry, including the use of high tech fabrics, 3-d printing with sustainable materials, and connecting consumers with artisans in developing countries. Attendees can browse and purchase from the shop from 6:30 until 9pm.

{Drinks and snacks will be provided!}
