Event Information
Description
Dan Doctoroff, Chairman and CEO of Sidewalk Labs
How can technology transform America’s cities?
Dan Doctoroff, former Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding for New York City, will describe the work of Sidewalk Labs, a start-up he co-founded with Google to improve city living through innovative technology. This new social venture is described as an “urban innovation company” that will pursue technologies to cut pollution, curb energy use, streamline transportation and reduce the cost of city living.
Dan has consistently bridged the public/private world, as the former President and CEO of Bloomberg L.P, founder of NYC2012, the organization that championed the Olympic Games coming to NYC, and Managing Director at private equity firm Oak Hill Capital Partners. He is an alum of Harvard College and a parent of two Yale graduates.
Crimson Impact is co-hosting this event in partnership with the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance – YANA. The presentation will be followed by networking for those involved in social entrepreneurship and city planning.
