Description

Join Baba Bomani on Kuumba (creativity) day of Kwanzaa for two hours of Hip-Hop performance, writing, rapping and dancing at Washington D.C.’s premier community art space, Bloombars. This interactive multi-media performance and workshop for 4th through 8th graders, encourages them to read and write through the power of Hip-Hop music and culture, and by following the life and career of famed abolitionist, and DC and Maryland resident, Frederick Douglass. Everyone in attendance will be expected to write, including parents. Paper and pens provided this will also be the official release of Baba Got BARS vol IV!
