This seminar examines the astrological dimensions of the mythological figure Lilith, offering interpretive keys for understanding her "four faces": the Dark Moon Lilith, the Black Moon Lilith, the asteroid Lilith, and Algol, the "demon star" of the constellation Perseus.
First we isolate major themes in the Lilith story to establish interpretive keys to use in chart interpretation. Then we contrast the four astrological embodiments/faces of Lilith:
- Asteroid Lilith - often linked to social outcasts, victimization, and prostitution
- Dark Moon Lilith - this hypothetical lunar satellite/planet teaches depersonalization through emotional frustration
- Black MoonLilith - the farthest “focal point” of the Moon’s Orbit, Black Moon Lilith can represent our accumulation of emotional fears and psychic debris or the karmic residue of past error
- Algol - this fixed star has important interpretive parallels to Lilith which show the rebalancing of the masculine and feminine power in the Aquarian age
We will work with practical delineation of Lilith in chart work looking at the charts of selected artists, writers, and occultists.
