Session Description: Blockchain Task Force & FinTech Legislation Update
On May 23, 2019, Florida joined several other trail blazing states as Gov. Ron DeSantis signed SB 1024 (Florida Blockchain Bill) into law to establish the Florida Blockchain Task Force (Blockchain Task Force) within the Florida Department of Financial Services. The goal of the task force is to provide feedback to the governor about how to create and support a Florida blockchain workforce through academic and project based initiatives. Join us for an update on the task force as well as the new FinTech initiatives declared by the Governor and the CFO to be implemented soon in the state of Florida.
Speakers: Samuel Armes and Jason Holloway

Session Description: Raising Capitol in Florida
As Tampa continues to emerge as a technology hub and startup ecosystem, founders recognize that you have to work harder to get noticed to be able to find the right capital in Florida. Our panel of industry experts will discuss different perspectives of the emerging tech investor landscape in the state. Topics will include how Tampa is viewed from an international perspective, how entrepreneurs in the region can position for capitol and even how founders can draw the attention of investors who are specifically looking for the most disruptive startups.
Speakers: Andreas Calabrese, Shane Smith, PhD and Charlie Shrem
Session Description: Matteo Rizzi: TALENTS & REBELS: Dealing with Corporate Misfits
Innovators are to company growth what misfits are to company survival. Through the life and professional story of the author, helped by a number of conversations with renowned innovators and leaders across industries, the book finds predictable patterns to figure out ways to not only spot these lateral thinkers in your organization, but also to deal with them and use their peculiar talent to help your business thrive. The tension between incremental innovation and disruptive innovation, between the business as usual and what is coming next, is not something any company should be afraid of, and rebels are there to transform this tension in an opportunity, if you know how to deal with it.
Keynote Speaker: Matteo Rizzi
