This unintimidating accounting crashcourse will address accounting related issues for early-stage businesses, including Quickbooks set up as well as efficient systems for order, invoicing and cash-flow management
The basics of making QuickBooks work:
- Brief introduction to the products offered by QuickBooks: ground based, on-line and hosted.
- What are lists, forms, and registers?
- Understanding items
- How to process accounts receivable
- How to process accounts payable
- Working with bank accounts
- Setting up and using payroll
- How to manage QuickBooks files
This session is designed to teach users how to process data through QuickBooks. New users will get an introduction of how to process. For more experienced users, this will be a refresher. For a manager/owner, they will see the steps it takes to do the processing and have a better appreciation for the value of having a correct setup from the start.
We will finish the day with some discussion about how far you can push QuickBooks. The largest client Bruce has worked with was grossing $100 million in sales at the time he finished his engagement with them. The same company is now at $200 million in sales.
