Carmen Perez, Finance Blogger and Creator of Make Real Cents (@Makerealcents on IG)

  • By day, Carmen is an Assistant Vice President at a Private Bank in NYC but by night, Carmen manages MakeRealCents.com, a personal finance platform dedicated to helping people achieve financial independence. In 2016, Carmen started a journey towards becoming debt free and has paid off approximately 57k of debt in two and a half years. Officially debt free as of Sep 2018, Carmen helps others with their journey through her financial coaching business. Using her experience (both personal and professional), Carmen shares her story with many on her social media platform as well as on her financial blog Make Real Cents, reaching over 20,000 on people on Instagram alone, each week. Yanely Espinal, Creator of MissBeHelpful (@MissBeHelpful on IG)

  • Born and raised by Dominican, immigrant parents in Brooklyn, Yanely is a proud product of NYC public schools. Although she received a full scholarship to college, Yanely still graduated with $20,000 in credit card debt because she didn't understand how interest works until her mid-20's. Today, she's debt-free with a perfect credit score and her YouTube channel "MissBeHelpful" has over 25,000 subscribers! Yanely turned her personal passion into a full-time career and is now the Director of Educational Outreach at Next Gen Personal Finance. Eli Nunez, MBA, Creator of Build Your Tomorrow (@_buildyourtomorrow on IG)

  • Eli has worked for major financial institutions including JP Morgan Chase over the past 11 years, earned an MBA from Baruch College, and currently enjoys teaching others everything he has learned. Born in Brooklyn to Dominican parents, he believes in hard work, leading by example, and in self-discipline - key traits that allowed him to pay off $15,000 in credit card debt and $80,000 in student loans.
