Thai Basic Cooking WORKSHOP by DC's favorite wanderers and the original SUPPER CLUB's hosts, THE FAT NOMADS. Our fellow FAT COOKING CLUB deciples will get to enjoy a complimentary refreshing PUNCH, (or feel free to BYOB) & learn about the follwings subjects and enjoy their very own THAI COOKING!!
- Essential thai seasonings, sauces, pastes, & herbs. Fresh vegetables use in this lesson are organically grown from our chef Lekki's Summer Garden.
- Basic Thai Cooking techniques, Asian kitchen tools, & learn how to make the following dishes
1) TOM YUM SOUP : In Thailand there are so many ways to prepare TOM YUM soup. At your FAT COOKING CLUB, you will get to hear about the history of and the differences between each version of TOM YUM.
2) CENTRAL THAILAND RED CURRY : The mother of all THAI curries, and just like TOM YUM, there are so many version of curries in this class you will get to know about the history of and variety of dishes which can be created from red curry or the used of the red curry paste
3) MOO TOD NAM-PLA : This dish is an all time THAI's favorite comfort food. Moo = Pork, Tod = Deep Fry, Nam-Pla = fish sauce. The two most delicious components in the whole wide world in the deep fryer, how could you go wrong with any of the above?
