The Department of Education (Università Roma Tre) with the IFLA School Libraries Section, the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL) and AIB (Italian Library Association), in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Italien and other Partners, and the support of OCLC, MLOL and other Sponsors, invite to attend the International Seminal Meeting on

The Evolving Concept of ‘School-Library’ and Its Profession”.

This International professional conference is held within the IFLA School Libraries Section Mid-Year Meeting Initiatives. It aims at gathering worldwide and local experts to discuss new ways - through dynamic library spaces, attractive collections, stimulating school library programs and initiatives, strategic collaboration etc. - school libraries, their professionals and associations are currently carrying out to address several issues (e.g. declining reading literacy, curriculum implementation, insufficient global competences etc).

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

By metro:

  • Metro A ("Termini" or "Vittorio Emanuele" stops)
  • Metro B ("Termini" stop)

By bus: all ATAC lines to Termini Station (e.g., 64, 170) and 70 (via Giolitti).

By train: Termini Station (exit "via Giolitti" side)

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The event is mainly addressed to librarians, teacher-librarians, school teachers, headmasters, school administrators, academic students.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, you do in order to get your certificate of attendance at the end of the conference.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes. You may cancel or modify your registration, so that a colleague of yours can register.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No, it isn't (for security reason).
