Description: What does too-big-to-fail look like for banks in Europe? Europe has enacted certain bail-in rules that apply to large financial institutions facing insolvency. Join us for a discussion of how these rules apply and how such a situation would be handled in Europe.
Professor Guaccero is a Full Professor of Private Comparative Law and currently teaches Anglo-American Company Law and Comparative Legal Systems at Roma Tre in Rome, Italy. He holds a degree from the School of Law of the Università La Sapienza, Rome and a Ph.D. in Public Law of Economy from the Università La Sapienza, Rome, School of Business and Economics. He was a Researcher of Commercial Law at the Universitàtà Roma Tre, Rome, then Associate, and Full Professor of Commercial Law at the Università di Palermo, School of Law. He has written books and essays on corporate, financial markets and banking law, all seen in a comparative perspective, especially focusing on American law.
