Speakers

Blaine Hurst

Blaine Hurst is the president and chief executive officer of Panera, LLC. Blaine joined Panera in late 2018 and has pioneered Panera’s digital experiences and delivery initiatives. Considered by many to be a digital leader, Blaine has scaled Panera’s digital sales to almost $1.2B, or 28% of its total orders. Blaine also created Panera’s loyalty program, which currently has more than 29mm members, transforming Panera into the leading fast casual restaurant in America. Blain has been named by Fast Casual Magazine as one of their Movers and Shakers for the last three years, and is the author of 4 published patents.

Blaine has been driving Panera’s commitment to 100% Clean Food, revamping the menu to deliver “craveable wellness” and redesigning cafes and brand voice to align with Panera’s commitment to Food as it Should Be. Prior to joining Panera, Hurst was an entrepreneur and consultant, and has served in executive roles at eMac Digital, Papa John’s International, and Boston Chicken.

Nikki Lewallen

Nikki Lewallen is an accomplished business development professional, speaker and philanthropist. As CEO of Rainmakers, Nikki supports the Indiana business community by providing a platform for authentic business growth. A natural connector of people, Nikki's expertise in business development enables her to find and nurture strategic relationships that result in meaningful business outcomes. Under her leadership, Rainmakers is one of the premiere business networking organizations in Indianapolis.

As reflected in her leadership style, Nikki is an avid proponent of robust company culture. She believes that for people to succeed in business and life, it is necessary for them to love what they do. It is this passion for employee engagement that led Nikki to join Emplify in 2017, a company devoted to helping millions of people find meaning in their work.

Nikki holds a variety of board positions around Indianapolis including the Indianapolis Rotary and Purposeful Living INC. She believes that the work we do on earth to produce abundance fuels the causes nearest and dearest to our hearts. She is also the host of Gut + Science, a podcast for CEOs on leadership, success, and culture.

Alison Martin-Books

Alison Martin-Books is the founder and Chief Mentoring Officer of Diverse Talent Strategies, a training and development firm with a unique patent-pending mentoring process aimed at talent development, promoting inclusion, and social responsibility. Books also founded the Pass the Torch for Women Foundation, a 501c3 dedicated to providing mentoring and resources to women needing it the most. She is married with three children and volunteers for Girls Inc, and the Business Leadership Network, an organization dedicated to helping employ people with disabilities. She was nominated for Indianapolis Best and Brightest in 2013 and was recognized with the Indiana Commission for Women’s Torchbearer award in 2014. She is the author of the book, “Learning to Lead Through Mentoring”, published first in 2013 and re-released in 2016, which outlines the 8 lessons one must consider before pursuing a mentoring relationship.
