If you want to explore your capability to go further and experience what it feels like to be supported by a world-class endurance team then The Endurance Workshop is for you.

Endurance doesn't come with a prescription but there is vital knowledge you need to support yourself and your team.

It doesn’t matter what your current level of experience is, how far you want to go or whether you are a solo or a team rider. You will walk away from this one-day workshop more equipped and confidant to meet your endurance goal head on.

BREAKDOWN OF THE DAY

MORNING - GROUP RIDE WITH ENDURANCE CYCLING LEGEND JOE BARR.

The day will start with a short introduction that promises to inspire and motivate, followed by a 3-hour group ride with Joe, supported by our team car.

Every participant will get 25 minutes side by side with Joe. He can coach you on your bike set-up specific to endurance, your riding position or any specific areas where you want his advice. This is your one-on-one time with Joe so plan to use it wisely!

Showers and lunch will be provided.

AFTERNOON PART 1 - NUTRITION

Jillian, our nutrition expert, will start the afternoon with a 60-70 minute presentation that will take you through the nuts and bolts of fuelling for endurance.

She will give a fun and informative overview of different fuelling systems, how to utilize nutrition both on and off the bike, how to enhance recovery and how to get organized to make it all work in a busy life! There will be lots of time for questions throughout the day.

AFTERNOON PART 2 - RACING AND LOGISTICS

Alan, our most experienced crewmember and crew chief, will spend 60 minutes outlining the joys and challenges of creating a functional crew.

This topic is crucial to any solo or team successfully getting to the finish line. He will discuss rider management, crew roles and competencies, car set-up, safety, general logistics, administration and check lists, etc.

AFTERNOON PART 3 - NAVIGATION AND MEDIA

Ian, our navigator and media/technical specialist, will spend 30-40 minutes on the complexities of navigation and sharing race media online.

His presentation will address vital topics such as event routing, crew car and rider navigation, optimised GPS settings. He will offer professional tips in media management including accessing the internet on the go, basic filming techniques and social media platforms.

Joe will wrap up the day and field any outstanding questions. We want you walking out the door inspired and confident!

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ENDURANCE WORKSHOP YOU MUST:

  1. Have a bike in good mechanical working order and weather appropriate riding gear

  2. Be able to ride for 3 hours at a minimum average pace of 15mph
