About this Event

Do you know women make up about 51.8 percent of the United States population and yet 35 percent are likely to be classified as poor? Approximately 35 percent of single women with children live in poverty. Even though women make up half of the labor force, they account for 60 percent of the nation’s lowest-paid. We all want to reduce the social costs of poverty, strengthen the workforce and build a more prosperous and sustainable community.

The Empowerment Symposium is a prelude to our 7 month E.M.P.O.W.E.R PROGRAM. Our program is designed to help in:

• Successful goal setting• Strengthen educational attainment and job skills• Increase economic development• Improve financial literacy• Improve interpersonal communication skills• ameliorate health and wellness (mental, physical, and spiritual)• Increase entrepreneurship

It is a proven fact that financial stability reduces social costs, crime, stress, and helps to improve one's overall well-being.

Join us at our Empowerment Symposium to learn more about WEW INC programs and our goal to help women move from poverty to self-sufficiency.
