THE ELOVATERS

The Elovaters sophomore album, DEFY GRAVITY, dropped October 26, 2018 (Rootfire Cooperative) and debuted at #1 in the Billboard and iTunes Reggae charts. Two months later it was voted people’s choice Album Of The Year 2018 by Surf Roots TV & Radio. Produced by Danny Kalb (Beck, Ben Harper, Willie Nelson, The Movement) and critically acclaimed, “Defy Gravity is simply on another level…intricate and nuanced, full of thought-provoking surprises.” The album marks yet another milestone in the band’s incredible rise from the south shore of Boston. Other highlights from 2018 include signing with Madison House agency in September, performing at Levitate Music Festival, Sugarloaf Reggae Festival, and direct support dates for The English Beat, and Badfish.

The Elovaters are Jackson Wetherbee (lead vocal, rhythm guitar), John Alves (lead guitar), Nick Asta (drums), Matt Link (bass), Derrick Cabral (percussion), and Greg Nectow (keys). Their debut album, THE CORNERSTONE, was recorded by Mike Caplan at the legendary Lion and Fox Studios in Washington D.C. in 2017. It reached #2 on the iTunes reggae chart and #9 on the Billboard Reggae Chart, and the band has been touring heavily in support of the album ever since, opening for the likes of Ziggy Marley, Stick Figure, The Movement, Easy Star Allstars, John Brown’s Body, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and more.

KAYA'S EMBRACE

In late August of 2016 Kaya's Embrace released their debut album, BPM. The following year this Atlanta based Reggae-Rock/Alternative band gained some notoriety in their city when Esmerelda,Supersonic & C'est La Vie all made their radio debut on 99x.

In 2017 they also shared the stage with artist such as Passafire, The Movement, Iya Terra, The Elovaters, Roots of a Rebellion & more. They wasted no time earning a reputation for their fun stage chemistry, upbeat tunes & energentic live shows.

2018 is already off to a great start with the release of new music,videos & even a new album in the works

RHYTHM EARTH

Rhythm Earth is a Reggae Rock duo based out of Atlanta Georgia. Current members are founding member Christian Michael Castillo, drummer/producer Yakou Daniel N’guessan and Mewsest member, bassist Maria Montgomery (recruited 01/19) Known for their full live sound with just 3 members on stage, they meticulously work on self produced back tracks in Yakou’s home studio. Christian is the main songwriter, focusing on lyrics, guitar work, song structure and vocal melodies, yakou is the instrumental musical mind behind the songs, together they make (((RE))) a full elaborate band. Originally founded in summer of 2015 by Christian and former founding member drummer/producer, Jarod Ganoe. In summer of 2015 the original line up released an album titled ”Room To Grow” with Nine of their original tracks. They also released two acoustic live videos to their acoustic tracks “A Time and Place” and “Girl You Know” (acoustic tracks and videos only available on YouTube). In summer of 2017th yakou was recruited by Christian to replace founding member Jarod who said his peaceful farewells to the project to start a new life in England with his wife. By early 2018 (((RE))) was up and running again by this time, they have opened up for mainstream artist such as TLC, Tyrese, and Jeezy, Jamaican popular act Jesse Royal, South American reggae legends Gondwana, and popular American Reggae Rock acts, Ballyhoo!, The Movement, Iya Terra, Tropidelic, The Holdup, Mighty Mystic, The Elovaters, Sundried Vibes, TreeHouse, Roots Of Rebellion and more. Yakou and Christian have release two singles “Fire” and “The Right Kinda Love” along with two music videos in their one year together so far, currently they are working on an album for 2019 and gigging all up and down their state, possible tour plans and festival shows are being worked on and thought out for 2019. Be on the look out for this gradual but strong growing group in the year to come.
