Description

Two-day symposium featuring home landscape tours, Bokashi composting and other demonstrations, and a host of expert speakers! Learn how to incorporate edible plants and herbs into your landscape and how to forage your yard for food. The first day (Friday, February 16th) includes landscape tours and demonstrations at the AgriLife Extension Demonstration Gardens. Meals on your own on Friday. The second day (Saturday, February 17th) will feature four exciting speakers to include: Judy Barrett, Angela Chandler, Joseph Johnson, and Dr. Mark Vorderbruggen (Merriwether's Foraging Texas). Lunch is provided with snacks throughout the day. There will be vendors, raffles, doorprizes and a silent auction. Enjoy visiting historic Huntsville with lots of shopping, museums and great local dining. You may attend one or both days by purchasing tickets for each event ($20 for Friday garden tours & $60 for Saturday Symposium). Registration check-in on Friday will begin at 9 am at the AgriLife Extension Demonstration Gardens, 102 Tam Road, Huntsville. If attending on Saturday, registration check-in will begin at 8:00 am at 455 State Highway 75 North, Huntsville (Texas Veterans Complex). NOTE: Space is limited for Friday's tours and demonstrations so please register early!
