About this event

  • 4 days 18 hours
  • Mobile eTicket

This retreat includes instruction in methods, guided practice and evening talks. You will be learning “See Hear Feel” mindfulness techniques to explore the human sensory system and join an intimate group.

We will support you to practice “See Hear Feel” both individually and in group connection through poetry reading, drumming circle, and walks in nature. Some parts of the program will be offered in English with Chinese translation, so you will have an unique experience to meditate with the rhythm of a foreign language. We will also be together leading an online "Global Sit" on the Day of Christmas Eve, to meet practitioners across the oceans.

“See Hear Feel” techniques are designed to develop a set of beneficial attentional skills. The methods and skills are science-informed and validated, with rich eastern cultural roots. Shinzen Young, founder of the system, will be joining us the last two days of the retreat to take you further into science and tradition.

Henrik Norberg will also give you an introduction to The Mind Illuminated. This retreat is organized by Dharma Treasure Retreat Center and Conscious Bridge, a San Francisco based organization that commits to building a connected practice community in both the east and the west.

This retreat is open to practitioners at any level. It will be a combination of silence and interaction. Scholarship is available for committed practitioners with financial constraints.

Yurt dwellers have access to a full bathroom.

The Yurt is very comfortable, with electricity, heating and cooling, a sink with hot and cold water, tea kettle and a coffee maker.
