Event description

Description

The Dying of Ida Greene is written by Memphis native and Jackson transplant, Michael Tobin. In this contemporary story, Ida Greene, a young woman with a mysterious illness, must navigate her changing relationships with her husband, a drifting friend, and the nurse who becomes her caretaker. The show, directed by Joseph Frost, will run from May 8-11 in the studio space of local visual artist Chad Mars. Watch a space be transformed into a theatre, and enjoy a professional theatre experience unlike any other in Jackson.

Artistic Director of Hearth & Mantel Theatre, James Kenyon, says, “This story is sharp and intimate. It cuts to the core of human relationships, how they change, and how they change us.”

Audiences are invited to stay after the show for complimentary coffee and conversation. This production is recommended for ages 13 and above.
