The Duffel Bag Project Charity Sit 'n Sew in Bethesda, MD
Event Information
Description
The Maryland Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, ASG, continues The Duffel Bag Project – making duffel bags for children who enter the Foster Care system in our state. Join us at a free sit ‘n sew in Bethesda, Maryland on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This event is being hosted by the Rockville Morning Pinups Neighborhood Group.
Space is limited, so you need to pre-register for the workshop on EventBrite. All materials to make the duffel bags will be provided by the Maryland Chapter of the ASG.
Bring your sewing machine and it’s instruction manual. A detailed supply list will be emailed to all registrants the week before the event.
Light refreshments will be available, but you might want to pack a lunch. Parking on the property is limited - please consider carpooling.
The Maryland Chapter of the ASG will be hosting additional workshops throughout 2017 until we reach our goal of 300 bags, which has increased from the 2016 goal of 250. More information about the project, instructions for the bag, and future workshops, is posted on our website, www.Marylandasg.org
