About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

NOTE: Workshop runs 3:30pm-5:00pm Mountain Standard Time.

Ready to reconnect with your self? This is a nurturing and informative session exploring how disconnection from our bodies, spirits, and each other has been shaped by history, culture, and systems like racism and sexism. We’ll unpack how these forces live in us through the “4 I’s” (ideologies, institutions, internalized, interpersonal), reflect on our own embodiment, and learn simple tools to hold diffferent feelings and enhance ease and peace in these challenging times.

Workshop is offered at 3 sliding scale rates: $33, $75, and $130. Nobody is turned away. You can choose your rate when you arrive using venmo. Guide on pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a conversation or a presentation?

This session is more presentation-style, supported by slides. That said, there will be gentle invitations to pause, reflect, and briefly engage with others or the facilitator along the way.

Will it feel heavy the whole time?

The topic is deep and can feel tender, but the tone is warm and grounded. Throughout the session, you’ll be invited to take care of yourself, pause as needed, and we’ll end with hopeful strategies and a centering practice (time permitting).

What kind of experience or background is required?

None! This is open to anyone curious about embodiment, burnout, and how culture and systems shape us. Whether you're new to these ideas or have been working with them for years, you’re welcome.

What might I takeaway?

Hopefully you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how disembodiment shows up in your life, simple tools to begin reconnecting to yourself, and a few community-inspired strategies for disrupting burnout culture.

What else do you offer and/or can I engage in?

I offer 6-week somatic groups seasonally— supportive spaces to build community and practice slowing down and individual coaching, retreats, and other supportive spaces tailored to your needs. Summer specials are happening! https://www.sarahrimmel.com

Who is leading this session?

The session is led by Sarah Rimmel (she|they), a certified Somatic Coach through the Strozzi Institute and founder of Slow Integration Coaching. Sarah brings over 15 years of experience across higher education, nonprofits, and social justice work. Learn more: linktr.ee/SarahRimmel
