Event description

Conference Overview

This two day professional development conference, presented by the Lowrie Center for Christian School Education, in collaboration with Transformed PD , Significant Ed, and Lexington Christian Academy will present the foundational distinctives of Christian school education; equip educators with research-based practices for teaching from a biblical perspective; and promote the use of innovative ideas that support student learning.

Throughout the conference delegates will have choices from within three tracks, Foundations, Forward and Innovation. Delegates are free to choose sessions from within the three tracks,

The Foundations track centers on planning and teaching image bearers from a biblical worldview. Even though this track is open it all, it will prove especially helpful for teachers entering the Christian school classroom for the first time.

The Forward track will include practices that are making a difference across the various content areas. The practices have been proven to have a strong impact on student learning (i.e.teaching worldview to elementary students and deepening student mathematical and literacy thinking).

The Innovation track will introduce participants to cutting edge programs that are relevant for today's learners (i.e. implementing digital literacy, and establishing a student servant leadership program).

Delegates will have the opportunity to attend three general sessions and seven electives during the conference.
