Event description

Description

Historically, parents play a major role in choosing marriage partners for their children and the custom continues in the world’s developing countries today. In Genesis 24 we see Abraham asking his servant to find a wife for his son.

The most extreme form of parental influence is in arranged marriage, in which the bride and groom have no say at all. In some upper caste Hindu marriages, children are betrothed at a very young age and have no choice in the decision. In a less extreme form of arranged marriage, parents may do the match making, but the young people can Vito the choice.

Whether we like or not our parent influence on mate selection or on the marriage is very real and felt even long after they have no longer directly affecting , join us as we explore this topic of parents and how they affect our relationship

We are meeting at Pret A Manger, 77 Saint Martin's Lane,Opp Leicester Square station, WC2N 4AA

Remember a good marriage is not something you find it’s something you make. Come and learn how to make one
