Event description

Description

The 1960s was a period of tremendous civil unrest with voters questioning the meaning of equality, the legitimacy of government, the efficacy of war and America’s role during these tumultuous times. Scholars began to investigate “generational effects” on voters associated with this violence at home and abroad, a cultural revolution epitomized by a mantra of “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll,” and suspicions of wrongdoing on the part of national leaders.
