Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

They wear white shirts and black suspenders, black pants and travellers’ hats. They sing about murderous, estranged spouses and runaway lover cousins in a boot-stomping acoustic configuration that includes banjo, mandolin, cello and guitar, some whistles, hoots and hollerin’, and finger snappin’. Sometimes their fans dress up like them too and dance and sing the night away – but that’s not mandatory.

Formed in 2012, The Dead South have recorded and released three albums. Their most recent album “Illusion&Doubt” charted at #2 on the Bluegrass US Billboards and won Best Saskatchewan Album of 2016. Their debut album “Good Company”, first released in 2014, is making waves to this day and continues to climb the charts at #3 Alternative Albums, US and #32 All Categories Top Album in Canada, while their official music video to “Good Company” has well over 17 Million views on YouTube.

Special Guests: Zach Wade & The Good Grief and Nobody's Heroes
