Description

Agape Theatre Project opens its 2nd season with the hilarious romantic comedy, “The Dance on Widow’s Row.”

Written by Tony and Emmy nominated playwright, Samm-Art Williams, The Dance on Widow’s Row is a hilarious comedy about four widows who, despite the odds, are determined to find love. Set in a coastal community in Port Town, North Carolina, where four widow’s live on the same street. Magnolia, Annie, Simone, and Lois invite the area’s most eligible bachelors to an intimate soirée. Having already buried nine husbands altogether, the women are willing to defy small-town mores and endure vicious gossip if there’s a chance to meet Mr. Right tonight. Magnolia Ellis decides to host a gathering to help remedy the women’s loneliness by inviting three of the town’s eligible gentlemen. The men cautiously show up and the evening becomes a laughter-filled affair. Directed b Terra Hodge, the show runs until May 2-12 at the Burning Coal Theatre located at 224 Polk Street, Raleigh.
