Happy Hours: Culture at Work is a curated peer-to-peer crash course in company culture—defining it, creating it, managing it and, most importantly, not screwing it up if you’ve got it going right. It’s all about tapping into each other in the best way possible—engaging our experience—creating a space where we can learn fast and learn from each other so we can get on doing what we do best—growing the business.

Elijah May, SocialGood.TV @elijahmay
Elijah May, who is the co-founder and host of SocialGood.TV, has a sort of obsession with the power of culture in the workplace. In eight years of managing Hollywood productions and other high profile media events for the University of Southern California's public relations department, he learned first hand that the single greatest factor in collaboration and productivity is how people feel about their jobs. People who feel powerless, uninspired, or unappreciated only aim to get by, whereas people who feel empowered, inspired, and appreciated work harder, stay later, take on challenges that no one asks them to. Understanding this simple fact helped Elijah to develop critical relationships, both internally and externally, and accomplish things previously considered impossible. Now a Brand Officer and widely sought-after strategist, who receives requests to speak all over the US, Elijah adamantly maintains that a strong company culture is the bedrock of building a company that is greater than the sum of its parts.
