Event description

Description

Engage with our students about their Cuba experience while enjoying authentic Cuban food and music.

After, traveling students are responsible for planning an event that will educate their communities about things they learned on these trips. The event we are hosting at the University of Indianapolis is a community debate about Socialism in Cuba and Capitalism in the United States. Our scholars were greatly impacted by Socialism in Cuba, but also realized they benefit from capitalism in the United States. After analyzing the pros and cons of each government structure, they decided to educate their communities about how both systems run in each country and how both systems can have a huge impact on people living in poverty in the United States and Cuba. After they educate the community about the different systems, they are allowing the community to have a debate about which system is best for all people.
