Event description
The Crow Nation and the Jewish People: Our Connection to the Earth and to Each Other

About this event

The Jewish festival of Tu B'Shvat celebrates the "New Year for the Trees," and for many Jews it has become a time of year to consider our responsibility to care for the earth, including by planting and tending trees and plants.

As part of B'ShERT's Tu B'Shvat observations this year, we are pleased to be joined by Heywood "Third" Big Day III of the Crow Nation via Zoom for this special program. Third will speak about identity, culture, and the importance of trees and nature in the Crow tradition, and Rabbi Alexis Pinsky will moderate and help to draw parallels with Jewish tradition.
