In the great tradition of Irish storytelling, The Cripple of Inishmaan weaves a wonderfully dark, captivating comic yarn. The play is set on a 3-mile long rocky stretch of land known as the Isle of Inishmaan, just off the Western Coast of Ireland, circa 1934. The tale is told of "Cripple Billy" Claven and his personal odyssey to kiss the lass of his dreams, discover the painful truth of his being orphaned, and just perhaps find an escape from the island once and for all.
